3D-GRAM® CONTRUST security patch was named the best in the prestigious ‘Innovation in Holographic Technology‘ category at the Excellence in Holography Awards 2021. The awards are organized by International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) and recognize innovative or commercially viable hologram products and technologies that have been launched in the global industry over the last 12 months.
3D-GRAM® CONTRUST is the most recent security feature in the 3D-GRAM® photopolymer-based hologram series. It displays a stunning colour-changing effect when the element is rotated 180°. Each time the patch rotates, the colour of the image changes. The images made in red turns green. While the green elements change their colour to red. Such dynamics and high colour contrast create a catchy security effect with a simple and unambiguous identification. Exactly these effects of the 3D-GRAM® CONTRUST security patch highly impressed the judges.
3D-GRAM® CONTRUST security patch is presented on the 100/500 Nobelists house banknote, which was released in October. The photopolymer patch can be applied both on paper and polymer-based banknotes, as well as for ID documents security. The victory in the ‘Innovation in Holographic Technology‘ category is the second award KRYPTEN gets for our 3D–GRAM® technology. Last year the combined 3D-GRAM-C® photopolymer security stripe for the Antarctica 200 3D house note was recognized the best in the ‘People's Choice‘ category at the Excellence in Holography Awards 2020.
This year's award ceremony was held online during the Holography Conference 2021. The winners of the Excellence in Holography Awards 2021 are presented on the IHMA website.
